UAB 50th Anniversary Homecoming
UABSOM celebrated UAB’s 50th Anniversary at the Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 18th. Students spent fall break blazin’ a trail down campus streets.
Spanning 10 meters (32.8 feet) long, the almighty UAB Blazer represents UAB School of Medicine’s commitment to delivering world-class patient care to the residents of Alabama and beyond, advancing medical science through pioneering research, and training the sharpest medical minds. The School of Medicine is made up of nearly 800 students and more than 900 residents and 1,400 full-time faculty. It has been many years since the School of Medicine has had a presence during Homecoming due to scheduling conflicts -- we’re ecstatic to be back to celebrate the big 5-0!
